Brentford and Charlton shared the points in a thrilling end-to-end London derby which ended 1-1 at Griffin Park.

Carl Cort gave the Bees the lead two minutes after coming on at the break when he diverted Marcus Bean's cross-shot home from close range.

But Charlton took just 10 minutes to level after Chris Dickson was brought down in the box by keeper Lewis Price. Nicky Bailey drilled the spot-kick into the roof of the net to set up a grandstand finale.

Referee Andy D'Urso waved away two strong penalty shouts from the home side as Brentford piled on the pressure with Charlton always looking to hit them on the break.

Substitute Sam Saunders came closest to restoring Brentford`s lead after 75 minutes when his curling free-kick smashed against the bar.

Charlton`s other good effort came just before the break when Dickson raced clear down the right flank but saw his chip over keeper Price drift wide of the far post.
