Carlisle boss Greg Abbott was satisfied with his side's show of resilience as they drew 0-0 with Tranmere.
Abbott's men defended for the majority of the match at Prenton Park but he was pleased with the result, which extends the Cumbrians' unbeaten run to five league matches.
"I've got to be reasonably happy," said Abbott. "It wasn't a pretty game. We had to stand firm and fight and scrap and be determined."
He added: "We showed how difficult we are to break down and beat. That's our fourth clean sheet on the spin.
"We felt that despite all the huff and puff from Tranmere we were the side most likely to win the game.
"We had chances late on to snatch the points but it wasn't to be."
