The highly anticipated rematch - David Haye vs Tony Bellew - seems to be on, according to both of the fighters.

First signs of the fight going to happen again were given by David Haye, with the former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion tweeting about it a few days ago.

“It’s taken months of negotiating but teams have finally agreed ALL terms for #HayeBellew2 Will 🍕Bellew put pen to paper✍🏼?!#RevengeOrRepeat.”

Tony Bellew's promoter Eddie Hearn was quick to clarify that that is not the exact case.

Hearn expressed his hope that the rematch will be officially confirmed soon, but admitted he still needs to speak to Bellew and finalise the deal.

"It's taken a long time to get this rematch even discussed and now there is a real possibility it could be next," he explained on Sky Sports.

"Nothing is signed yet but I'm catching up with Tony later this week and you can cross your fingers for an announcement in the next week or so."

Eventually, Tony Bellew himself confirmed the high possibility of a rematch going on.

“Don't really feel like talking tbh!

“I OBLIGE YOU @mrdavidhaye , happy?

“Now leave me alone with my family please. I'll see you soon enough!”

With all that in mind, it looks like the rematch is certain and just details left to clarify.

David Haye himself looks to be in preparation already, as he posted a video on Instagram of him doing jump rope workout in Bodrum, Turkey.

Although there is still one week until he starts training camp, he seems to be ready for action.

"I'm having a sun filled few days here in Bodrum Turkey🇹🇷."

"I'm eating and sleeping well, getting my body and mind ready for training camp to start on Oct 1st. "

"With everything moving in the right direction, I anticipate to confirm #HayeBellew2 #TheRematch soon. "

"Let's (Hopefully) get ready to Rumble!!! 🕺🏾"

Haye looks like he never lost focus and will be willing to revive his career.

The rematch seems to be all or nothing for him and another loss could send him into retirement.

A win, however, can get "The Hayemaker" back to the top and one step closer to his desired fight with Anthony Joshua.
