Two-goal substitute Charles N'Zogbia sparked a second-half fightback against Hull to fire Wigan into the FA Cup fourth round with a 4-1 victory.
Hull had led through a Geovanni free-kick but N'Zogbia's entry proved inspired as he quickly struck twice and set up another for James McCarthy at the sparsely-populated DW Stadium.
Scott Sinclair then wrapped up victory by capping a fine performance with an excellent individual effort in the last minute.
