Adam Hinshelwood revealed that the chance to work under Wycombe manager Gary Waddock again was the driving force behind his move from Aldershot.
Hinshelwood played under Waddock for the League Two side and how now followed his manager in making the switch to Adams Park. He completed his move on New Year's Day and made his debut in the 1-0 defeat to Norwich on Saturday.
He told Wycombe`s official site: "Aldershot were great to me but here I have an opportunity to play in a higher division and when you look at some of the fixtures coming up and see what a big league it is that is the incentive to stay in it."
He added: "The move happened quite quickly and as soon as I had a call from the gaffer, I jumped at the chance.
"Gary and (assistant) Martin Kuhl are the best I`ve ever played under and I can`t speak highly enough of them. It was tough to leave Aldershot because they`re in a good position and I was club captain, but I`ve settled in well with the lads here and I`m looking forward to the challenge."
