The Miami Dolphins suffered a rather shocking loss to the New York Jets this past Sunday, and nobody saw it coming.

A very promising Miami squad currently ranks 30th in the league in points per game with 12.5, 27th in total yards accumulated per game with 280.5, 21st in passing yards per game with 210, and 28th in rushing yards per game with 70.5 - perhaps the post shocking statistic due to the fact that Miami has one of the best runningbacks in the league in Jay Ajayi. In addition to Ajayi, the Dolphins posses a number of skillful players on the offensive side of the ball; such as  Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills and veteran quarterback Jay Cutler.

Going up against a Jets team whose roster isn't really knocking anybody's socks off, NFL fans expected Miami to have their way with the Jets, but that couldn't have been further from the case. New York virtually shut down Miami's offense and dominated them en-route to a 20-6 victory.

After the game head coach Adam Gase was extremely upset with his team's performance, and didn't hold any words back when offering his opinion on his offense. Gase went as far as calling the offensive performance by his team 'garbage' (quotes via NFL.com):

"A lot of bad football," Gase said, via the Miami Herald. "More mental errors than we've had the last two years. I'll find the guys that want to do it right, and those are the guys that will play."

Added Gase: "I'm upset about the way our offense played. I'm just tired of watching it for two years. Just garbage. So, we're going to figure something out."

"It's just surprising, some of the stuff we don't do right," Gase said. "We basically skimmed it back as much as we could over the last year. Trying to make it so we can play fast and [win favorable] match-ups. We're not doing it, so we'll figure out a way to make adjustments."

"We'll make the proper adjustments," he said. "We'll probably make some changes. So figure out what we've got to do, get that thing rolling. I've been watching it for two years. It hasn't worked. So we're going to figure some things out."
