WWE may be forced into bringing back Stephanie McMahon to TV.

McMahon currently serves the commissioner for Monday Night Raw. If you recall, when WWE started the Draft last July, McMahon picked WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley to be the General Manager of Raw while SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon chose former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan to be the General Manager of SmackDown.

Foley was later replaced as the GM of the Raw brand earlier this year by WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

In April, McMahon was written out of the storyline after being pushed accidentally through a table at WrestleMania 33 by Triple H. She did not appear on WWE TV for many months.

However, after Kevin Owens assaulted her father on the 12 September edition of SmackDown Live, she returned to help her dad. However, she has not been on Raw since April.

According to Cage Side Seats, if Monday Night Raw viewership continues to sag, Stephanie McMahon may be brought back to television. It’s been no secret that television ratings and attendance is down for the sports entertainment company.

This week’s episode of WWE Raw drew 2,923,000 viewers. This is up from the 2,833,000 viewers the show did last week. Hour one averaged 3,121,000 viewers, hour two drew 3,081,000 viewers, and the final hour of the show averaged 2,568,000 viewers.

This was the post-No Mercy show. Raw had to go up against the Cardinals-Cowboys game that drew 13,691,000 viewers on ESPN. Raw ranked fourth in the top 150 shows on cable for Monday night, which is the same ranking the show did last week. Here are the viewership numbers for Raw in 2017:
