If you didn't think Paris Saint-Germain were going to be a genuine force in the Champions League this season, think again.

The Parisians took on Bayern Munich on Wednesday night and came away with a comfortable 3-0 victory at the Parc de Princes in the French capital.

Dani Alves got the ball rolling after some majestic footwork from his compatriot Neymar, a man who has been scrutinised as of late following his embarrassing confrontations with Edinson Cavani against Lyon some 10 days ago.

Funnily enough, Cavani would then extend the lead with a smart finish after a lovely set from French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe, who joined the club on loan from Monaco this summer.

Mbappe is expected to join the club permanently for around £150 million next summer and the loan is just a way for PSG to fight their way around FIFA Financial Fair Play regulations.

However, Mbappe was far from done with laying one on a plate for Cavani, he was at it again to make it 3-0, but this time Neymar was the beneficiary.

Take a look at the clip below as the French sensation absolutely destroys Bayern left-sider David Alaba - one of the best left-backs in the world - en route to Neymar's bustling finish:

Mbappe admitted during the summer that he had indeed considered moving to Arsenal during the transfer window, but ultimately, the 18-year-old decided PSG was too good to turn down.

“Yes, I met with Arsene Wenger, who is a great coach,” Mbappe says. “He has a great reputation here in France, he’s well-respected and knows how to develop young players. This was a real option for me. But, of course, Paris Saint-Germain was the main option.

“We weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of all the clubs but my family told me it had to be my decision and one I needed to make. It also had to be a long-term decision. So it was up to me and I decided to come here in order to develop.”
