Coventry confident of permanent Madine deal

Coventry manager Chris Coleman is confident of signing Carlisle forward Gary Madine on a permanent deal before the end of the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old has been on loan at the Ricoh Arena since October and despite failing to score in nine substitute appearances may have earned himself a move.

Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph: "We want to do something and I had a meeting with the chairman this week and he's speaking with Carlisle to hopefully make that a permanent move."
