Manchester United have flown out of the blocks this season and then some.

Jose Mourinho seems to be lodging the club's first serious title challenge since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement and only a 2-2 draw at Stoke has deprived them of a 100% start in the Premier League.

That considered, Crystal Palace weren't exactly going to pose much of a problem to the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

The Eagles have lost all six of their league fixtures so far, are yet to score and are onto their second manager of the campaign.

And having been pummelled 5-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, their latest trip to Manchester has started in a similar vein.

In fact, it took just two minutes and 20 seconds for Mourinho's men to break the deadlock.

Juan Mata found the net for the first time this season with a measured finished past a hapless Wayne Hennessy. The goal was all about Marcus Rashford, though.

The Englishman acquired the ball on the left flank with his back to goal before sending Joel Ward back to Portsmouth by feigning to cross on his right-foot.

It wasn't the most complicated piece of skill you'll see this weekend but it completely bamboozled Ward like no stepover or elastico could.

The pass that followed it was just as special, dissecting the Palace defence with a slide-rule delivery that found the boot of Mata perfectly.

Naturally, Manchester United fans went absolutely wild on Twitter and with good reason, but few summed up the moment of magic quite like Ian Wright.

Take a look at the Arsenal legend's post and the general reaction:

It's going to be a long afternoon for Crystal Palace, that's for sure.
