Manchester City have a plethora of talent in their squad; particularly in attacking areas. As a result, City have run riot not in recent weeks as they have scored goals at an incredible rate.Prior to the Chelsea game, the two time Premier League winners were in second place in the league; having notched sixteen goals in their past three matches. However, with star man Sergio Aguero missing with a rib injury following a car accident, they were left frustrated for the best part of an hour in this evening's game against Chelsea. That is until Kevin De Bruyne scored a brilliant goal to break the deadlock.Due to being deployed further back as a deep-lying play maker, the Belgian had endured a somewhat quiet start to the season, and had not scored in the Premier League prior today. But he came up with the goods when his side needed him the most, as he played a neat one-two with Gabriel Jesus before firing in the opener from 20 yards. You can watch the goal here:His fantastic goal drew praise from all over twitter as football fans showed their admiration for the world class midfielder.Jamie Carragher was also clearly impressed by De Bruyne as he reacted perfectly to the Belgian's exquisite goal.

And Gary Lineker also tweeted his praise of the midfielder as he netted against his former club.

That goal proved to be the game clincher as Manchester City ran out 1-0 winners at Stamford Bridge.

It was the perfect day for City, who leapfrogged rivals United to regain top spot.

But it was an extremely miserable day for Chelsea, who were outclassed by the away side.

Not only did a former player inflict the damage, but the reigning Premier League champions also lost star striker Alvaro Morata to a suspected hamstring injury during the first half.

Chelsea are now most certainly regretting the decision to get rid of De Bruyne.
