When WWE continually tells its fans not to try what they do in the ring or at school, you should probably listen to them as it can be dangerous. That's unless you're trying it inside of a cage in a professional mixed martial arts fight, then all of the rules get thrown out of the window.

WALLS OF JERICHO

Some of the moves are pretty similar, as you see plenty of different suplex variations being used in both WWE and in MMA, and the same can be said of the innovative submission holds.

While all of them can be locked in inside of a cage, it's easier said than done as opponents won't easily roll over and allow to get put into a crazy submission.

However, an MMA fighter named Jonno Mears became an overnight legend after his win over Aaron Jones at Saturday's FCC 19 event in Bolton, England.

As you'll be able to see below, Mears somehow managed to lock in the Boston Crab, with most fans famously associating it with Chris Jericho's Walls of Jericho finisher in what's said to be the first of its kind.

JERICHO'S RESPONSE

In his post-fight interview, Mears highlighted how he had three submission holds in mind which he planned on executing, but the Walls of Jericho is the one he ended up locking in as the positioning was perfect.

The outcome made so much noise online that even Jericho responded to Mears' victory. He didn't end up on the list, though, as the former world champion saw the funny side and claimed the Walls of Jericho works.

He tweeted: "Hahah see the #WallsofJericho really works!"

Although Mears is drawing plenty of praise for locking in the Boston Crab and winning the fight, you have to assume that Jones probably won't live this down for a while.

Now all we need to see inside of the cage is someone attempting the People's Elbow.
