It has been an amazing year thus far for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2017 National Football League (NFL) season, and they may just quite possibly be the best team in football. The Chiefs opened up the season by completely destroying the defending SuperBowl Champs the New England Patriots on their own field with a score of 42-27. Veteran quarterback Alex Smith absolutely went off with 368 passing yards while rookie running back Kareem Hunt exploded into the league with 148 rushing yards, 98 receiving yards, and three total touchdowns. Second year veteran receiver Tyreek Hill also had an explosive game with 133 yards receiving and a touchdown of his own. That win was followed up by a 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, then a 24-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and of course last night's (Mon. October 2, 2017) 29-20 win over the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. With the assistance of quarterback Alex Smith, running back Kareem Hunt, and tight end Travis Kelce, the Chiefs extended their undefeated record to 4-0 and sit atop the AFC Division as the sole undefeated team in the NFL.An amazing thing happened on the final play of the Chiefs game against the Redskins, as Washington had seconds left to make one last miraculous play that would earn them the victory. Washington ran a play with several lateral passes in attempt to move the ball down the field. At one point, however, the ball was fumbled and Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston scooped up the rock and ran it back to the endzone for the last-second touchdown to seal the victory. You can check out that play here:

The Chiefs will now travel to Houston where they will once again play on primetime for Sunday Night Football against the Houston Texans and rookie quarterback sensation Deshaun Watson.

It should be interesting to see if the Chiefs can continue their winning ways throughout the season, and perhaps find themselves in the SuperBowl picture comes year's end.
