Few footballers have been as successful at using social media to enhance their profile as Michy Batshuayi has.Rarely a week goes by without the Chelsea striker going viral for something he’s said on Twitter.Whether it be arguing with EA Sports over his FIFA 18, trolling Diego Costa or posting a picture of himself as Batman, he’s simply a must-follow.The Belgian, along with Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy, has added some humour to the Twitter accounts of Premier League players, the majority of whom don’t even manager their own profiles. There’s only so many times we can read: “Good game from the lads, fans were class. We go again 👍,” without getting bored.

Aston Villa name dropped Batshuayi

As a sign of just how popular Batshuayi has become, a club other than Chelsea has included him in an article on their website.

Aston Villa write a ‘Social Sight’ piece where they collate the best football stories from social media.

And on Friday, Batshuayi’s latest exchange with EA Sports caught their eye.

The 23-year-old tweeted the maker of FIFA 18 after his last-minute winner against Atletico Madrid last week as he continues to demand a ratings increase.

EA Sports responded by suggesting Batshuayi would simply improve all of his ratings to the maximum of 99.

And Aston Villa felt that their exchange was worthy of inclusion in their latest Social Sight article.

“EA Sports has once again re-opened their debate with Michy Batshuayi about the Chelsea forward's FIFA 18 ratings by ‘trolling’ him in a clever video,” Villa wrote.

“The Belgium international has repeatedly tweeted EA to complain that his overall score is not high enough, pointing towards his goalscoring record in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season.

“After helping the Blues to a 2-1 win over Atletico, Batshuayi sent another message to EA as a gentle reminder, but their follow-up response proved hugely popular with FIFA fans as they teased the 23-year-old once again.”

Batshuayi reacted on Twitter

Batshuayi was alerted to the piece and reacted by express his complete bewilderment.

“Thx but .. Why you do this 🤷🏾‍♂️😂,” he tweeted the Championship club.

You can understand Batshuayi’s confusion.

He must have feared the worst when he heard he had been mentioned by a second-tier club.
