Kevin Lisbie and Ian Henderson will be added to the Colchester squad for the grudge match with Norwich.

Striker Lisbie was recalled from his season-long loan by Ipswich earlier this month but is now back with the Us, and former Luton and Northampton frontman Henderson will be included for the first time after joining on a free transfer last week.

Defender John White is fit despite coming off with a knee injury during the 7-0 FA Cup drubbing at Preston, but midfielder John-Joe O'Toole is still suspended.

A proposed loan move for Cardiff midfielder Solomon Taiwo has been put on hold until next week.

Ashley Vincent (ankle), Lee Beevers (shoulder) and Scott Vernon (knee) are all back in training after spells on the sidelines.

Relations between the clubs are strained after Paul Lambert quit as Colchester manager to join Norwich earlier this season, with compensation yet to be resolved.

Norwich manager Paul Lambert could hand a debut to Zak Whitbread.

Whitbread comes into the squad after signing from Millwall last week and recovering from the hip injury which has blighted his season.

Midfielder Stephen Hughes is also back in contention after he missed the last two matches with a calf injury.

Defender Michael Spillane is out but set to resume full training on Monday after more than three months out with a hamstring injury - a timely return after full-back Jon Otsemobor's move to Southampton on Thursday.

Lambert can expect a hostile reception from Colchester fans after he left the club to take over at Carrow Road just days after masterminding a 7-1 win over the Canaries on the opening day of the season.

The two clubs have yet to agree compensation for Lambert`s move and he is prepared for a vocal welcome.
