Dagenham will hand a debut to Marlon Pack when they play their first game of 2010 at home to Crewe.
Pack arrived on loan from Portsmouth earlier this month after a spell with League One side Wycombe earlier this season and is set to come straight into midfield in place of Adam Miller.
Miller has returned to Gillingham at the end of his loan deal, while fellow midfielder Stuart Thurgood remains sidelined with his thigh injury.
Defender Will Antwi is going to be out for a while with his groin problem so Scott Doe will continue to deputise, while Peter Gain returns after a one-match suspension in place of Danny Spiller who will return to the bench.
Abu Ogogo will return at right-back after Seth Ofori-Twumasi returned to Chelsea at the end of his loan and recent signing Phil Walsh will take up a place on the bench.
James Bailey and Joe Grant are likely to miss Crewe`s first game of 2010.
The Alex have not played since losing 4-1 at Macclesfield on December 28 but the postponement of the matches against Hereford and Grimsby have given Bailey (abdominal) and Grant (foot) time to recover from injury.
However, despite returning to training this week, the midfield duo are not expected to be fit enough to be considered for the squad.
Gradi insists his strike partnership of Clayton Donaldson and Calvin Zola have been terrific in training during Crewe`s enforced break and the caretaker boss is looking forward to unleashing them on Saturday.
"The front two have done really well. In the practices they have been excellent," said Gradi. "The fewer touches they have, the quicker decisions they make, the better they are.
"They have been combining well in training and the trick now is to get them to reproduce that in the games."
