Most WWE fans just want to see CM Punk return to WWE.

Since he departed from the WWE in 2014 after the Royal Rumble PPV (pay-per-view) event, fans have wanted to see Punk compete in the squared circle again. Instead, he took his talents to the world famous Octagon in the UFC.

However, he lost in his MMA debut against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in September of 2016 by first round submission. There have been talks about Punk competing under the UFC banner again, but nothing has been made officials.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently took part in a Facebook Q&A session, and during the session, he was asked about the chances for a return for CM Punk to WWE. Angle responded by saying, “Anything is possible. I think so.”

There always a chance that Punk doesn’t return to WWE but goes to a different promotion such as NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) or Ring of Honor. If you recall, Punk worked in Ring of Honor from 2002 - 2006. During his time with the promotion, he held the ROH World Championship one time and the ROH Tag Team Championship twice.

When asked where he stands with the best wrestlers ever, Angle stated, “At the very top. Yes, I feel that way. It kind of sucks that my matches in TNA were just as good as the ones in WWE, but the WWE Universe didn’t see them. If you add my 11 years in TNA/Japan plus my 7 year WWE run, then yes. I think most would agree with that. But, we all have our own opinions. That’s what is fun about debating. Hearing others’ opinions on it.”

Shinsuke Nakamura is scheduled to challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Title at this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell PPV (pay-per-view) event. When asked about Nakamura winning the WWE World Title one day, Angle responded, “Yes. I wrestled Nakamura 9 years ago, it was epic, and he’s much better now! I think it’s his time, but Jinder is a beast.”

When asked who he thinks should be on top of the card for WWE Raw, Angle stated, “On Raw- Cena. Roman. Rollins. Finn. Sheamus. Cesaro. Wyatt. Brock. Braun. Hardys. Miz. Jason Jordan. (You see how I threw Jason in there? Lol.)”
