It's been a pretty tough time for British fighter Kell Brook on the boxing circuit of late. The Sheffield-born athlete has suffered two very demoralising defeats in his late couple of fights, ones which have set his career back a bit.Brook was destroyed by the feared Gennady Golovkin after stepping up two weight divisions to make the fight. Then, he relinquished his Welterweight title against Errol Spence Junior, losing pretty convincingly in his home town.Brook has only recently recovered from his second eye surgery and now, he has a message for fellow British fighter, Amir Khan.It has always been thought that the two would eventually meet in the four-cornered ring and the gauntlet has now been well and truly laid down."I want to get in there and beat Queen Khan up," Brook said at an App Empire UK event. "We all want to see me stood over him, saying, 'listen, I told you. I told you.'"We want to make that fight happen. We all want to see it. I want to smash him."

I think that is the definition of 'fighting talk'.

It remains to be seen whether Khan will take him up on the offer, with the Bolton fighter very close to sealing a fight against the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

In his last bout, he was brutally knocked out by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in Las Vegas and it is understandable why he has not fought since.

Khan has been recently caught up in a bit of a media storm due to his divorce from Faryal Makhdoom, but he has assured his fans he is ready to get back in the ring.

KHAN'S VOW

“I think people forget that I am a boxer, with everything that's gone on with my family and going through the divorce and everything,” Khan told ITV, per Express.

“I move away and need to put that behind me and do what I do best.

“I’ve got my gym and I need to start spending more time in the gym.

“The main thing is getting a fight date. One thing about the British fans is they forget a lot of things that have happened in the past."

Surely this one is going to be arranged soon and what a fight it will be.
