You can’t blame Diego Costa for feeling a tad frustrated right now.

He managed to escape Stamford Bridge after Antonio Conte rather abruptly told him he no longer had a future at Chelsea.

He then had an extended summer break as he attempted to force through a move to his former club, Atletico Madrid before the end of the transfer window.

But that move became more complicated when the Spanish club failed to appeal against their transfer ban. It meant they couldn’t register players until 2018.

Costa eventually did get his dream move but he will just have to work hard in training before making his second debut for Atleti in January.

And when you consider it’s World Cup season, that must be infuriating for him.

But, to be fair, having missed an entire pre-season at Chelsea, Costa isn’t exactly fighting fit right now. And Diego Simone will be making sure he’s putting the hard work in on the training ground to make sure he’s in perfect condition come January.

That means he will have do a lot of work by himself to get him as the same fitness levels as the rest of the players.

But, as you can imagine, Costa doesn’t exactly want to do that.

That could be identified by his brilliant reaction after being told to do some running himself rather than joining in the match at the end of Atleti training.

Costa clearly looked annoyed before booting a few footballs away.

Spanish outlet, AS, claimed that Costa was in a “sulk” and he was “not happy.”

While their YouTube video was titled: “The first anger of Diego Costa in Atletico for not training with the group.”

Oh dear.

It should be mentioned that he did then take some time to shake hands with the youth team that had been asked to join in the session while players return from international duty - even if it was only to delay his running!

Take a look at Costa’s reaction:

Maybe Costa’s attitude is one of the reasons Conte decided to get rid of him this summer.

While his record of 59 goals in 120 matches for Chelsea is pretty decent, there were reports that he didn’t always see eye-to-eye with Conte. There were even suggestions that they clashed in training back in January before the Italian boss decided he would sell him.

You couldn’t blame Conte for having a little smile to himself after watching this video.
