Ever since the Wyatt Family disbanded, the WWE has struggled to find a use for Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.Harper has found some individual success having previously captured the Intercontinental Championship but Rowan has found very little.

New look, new attitude

Both men have been off of WWE TV for quite some time and it had been rumoured that the WWE was looking to repackage them as a team.

Those rumours were confirmed on Tuesday night when a video package aired for the duo with them revealing some details about their new gimmick.

Beginning the video with their backs to the screen and each carrying a large hammer over their shoulder, the two will clearly be in keeping with their already eerie reputation.

The two spoke just as their former Patriarch Bray Wyatt is now for and they stressed a message of impending doom.

Branding themselves with the new name, the former Wyatt Family members will now be known as the Bludgeon Brothers.

An ominous name for a team which could become quite a force in the Smackdown Live tag tea division.

The package didn't hold any information regarding when he pair may be appearing back in the ring, but it is good to see them finally ready to be unleashed.

Tuesday night proved to be a big night for the Smackdown Live tag team division on a whole as new number one contenders for the Tag Team titles were revealed.

A Changed division

Harper and Rowan will be entering a division which has seen some significant changes as the New Day have officially dropped out of the title picture.

Tuesday night saw the team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin earn the right to challenge the Usos for the titles.

That match could take place at Survivor Series in November but between now and then, the new Day appear to have no role on Smackdown Live - alongside many other teams.

There is a large tag team roster on Smackdown for the Bludgeon Brothers to target for their eventual return to the screen.
