Holloway cools Adomah talk

Published Add your comment

Blackpool's interest in Barnet winger Albert Adomah appears to have cooled - for the time being at least.

Pool manager Ian Holloway is a big admirer of the 22-year-old who has rejected a new deal with the League Two club, but he refuses to pay what he calls "a ridiculous" valuation placed on the winger by Bees chairman Tony Kleanthous.

Holloway saw his attempts to snap up the wide man hit the buffers back in the summer but remains interested, yet he is not willing to pay the reported £500,000 Barnet are understood to be asking for

He told the Blackpool Gazette: "The fact is his chairman wanted a ridiculous amount of money and I totally refused to pay it.

"On what I've seen, and what my scouts have reported back to me, I think it is an inflated price and I'm not going to pay it.

"I still like him as a lad. He is a good player and he does all sorts of things right. But am I going to spend the amount of money that his chairman thinks he is worth? The answer is an absolute no."
