Perhaps one of the biggest fights that can go down in not only the heavyweight division, but the entire sport of boxing itself, is a heavyweight clash between undefeated knockout artists Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

Joshua currently reigns as the IBF, WBA (Super), and IBO heavyweight champion of the world. The Olympic Gold Medalist boxer is currently undefeated in his professional boxing career and has won each of his 19 career victories via knockout. His last fight took place in April and Joshua defeated Wladimir Klitschko via 11th round TKO. His next bout is expected to take place on October 28th against Kubrat Pulev.

Wilder is also undefeated in his professional boxing career and has won 38-straight fights. He has finished all but one of his bouts via knockout and is currently 31-years-of age. The WBC heavyweight champion has been calling for a bout with Joshua for some time now, and he may just get it within the next year.

Legendary boxing heavyweight Larry Holmes recently offered his thoughts on a possible match-up between the pair of heavyweight studs, and claimed Joshua could go down as one of the greats the sport has ever seen (quotes via Boxing Scene):

“I got to be heavyweight champion of the world when I was 30 years old and this guy (Joshua) is just at 27. I think he has a great opportunity to make himself known as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

"You’ve always got to think you are better than the next guy. If he keeps going I think he’ll be strong and I that’s what’s going to make him a great fighter.

“If he can stay hungry he will be okay. He’s fighting whatever is out there and he’s going to be able to climb that ladder because he knows how to fight.

“I’d flip a coin because both guys are big and punch very well. That’s one fight I really don’t want to call. Wilder’s got a good punch, which they both do, and they can both take a punch.”
