The next major pay-per-view coming our way is Survivor Series, where the stars of Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE will both feature.

What makes this event so interesting is that the show is traditionally built around stars of the red brand battling their counterparts from the Tuesday night show.

SURVIVOR SERIES

We saw that last year too, with three big SmackDown vs. RAW matches taking place, topped off with the shocking main event which saw Goldberg defeat current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in just over a minute.

Now, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared a massive update of what The Beast Incarnate could be doing at the event this year.

While speculation suggested that Lesnar would remain off-screen until January's Royal Rumble event, Meltzer is now claiming that Lesnar will be competing at Survivor Series in November against SmackDown LIVE's Jinder Mahal.

The report on the F4WOnline claims that the current plans feature RAW's top champion battling SmackDown's top champion at the dual-branded pay-per-view.

THE BEAST INCARNATE VS. THE MAHARAJA

As things stand, it will be Lesnar vs. The Modern Day Maharaja as the current plan is still for Lesnar to battle Reigns for the championship at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, Louisiana - a rematch from their encounter at WrestleMania 31.

At the same time, it appears that Mahal will still be the champion as WWE is touring India in December and he's going to be defending his championship against Kevin Owens during two shows.

However, the source has added that neither championship will be on the line, so it's just going to be another case of bragging rights and the assumption is that RAW and Lesnar will triumph based on the outcome of his other matches in recent times.

While some might think of it as an underwhelming match for Lesnar, it can help Mahal reach that next level, especially with the dastardly Singh Brothers in tow - who will probably eat a double F5 at some point if the match comes to fruition.

It can be good for ratings too. Lesnar took on Randy Orton at SummerSlam last year which saw both stars invade the opposing show, and seeing Lesnar appearing on SmackDown LIVE again would be a treat.
