WWE fans were ecstatic earlier this week when the company finally pulled the trigger and reunited The Shield.

The Miz, Curtis Axel, Sheamus, Cesaro and Braun Strowman were the unfortunate victims as The Hounds of Justice finally aligned together to take them all out, with the Intercontinental Champion eating a triple powerbomb, followed later in the night with The Monster Among Men being put through the announcer's desk.

REUNION

So much damage in one night - and it's expected to only get better as we head towards the RAW-exclusive TLC pay-per-view.

The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Strowman will team up to battle Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a handicap match, and now we're just waiting to see whether they enter the ring together, and whether or not we'll see the infamous tactical vests.

It's been revealed that WWE reunited the trio as neither John Cena or Brock Lesnar are going to be featured on the night, with the company left worried that there's not much star appeal.

However, a new report has now emerged suggesting that The Shield reunion could lead to another big heel turn.

It's thought that it could finally see WWE turn The Big Dog heel, but that doesn't seem to be the case as this seems like a cheap yet effective way to get Reigns some cheers.

HEEL TURN

PWMania is reporting that Ambrose could be the one that goes rogue this time around.

The expectation is that Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins will go their separate ways by the end of 2017 as the reunion isn't expected to last too long.

Speculation suggests that there are plans to create a feud for The Lunatic Fringe that will last all the way to WrestleMania 34 next year in New Orleans, Louisiana - the same event where Reigns is expected to dethrone The Beast Incarnate to become the new Universal Champion.

It's expected that a heel turn could happen in a similar manner to what we saw with Rollins when he turned, so the major heel turn is a way to rekindle his rivalry which fans have thoroughly enjoyed.

The rivalry will have a fresh dynamic, and it's thought that it could last all the way up to the Grandest Stage of Them All which will conclude in a huge match between Rollins and Ambrose.
