City captain David Silva bagged a third before the half-hour mark, but it was what Kevin de Bruyne did in the build up to Sterling's goal that has got lots of people talking.

De Bruyne was the match-winner for Man City before the international break with a stunning strike at Chelsea, and he's produced another simply world-class moment.

KdB's moment of magic against Stoke

After Leroy Sane had run into a little bit of a dead end, he played the ball back to De Bruyne on the edge of the box, and what he did next was pure magic.

As you can see in the videos below, the gifted playmaker lined up to shoot before reversing a perfectly weighted through ball back to Sane, who had the simple task of squaring the ball to Sterling for an easy finish.

Sterling will get the goal, and Sane the assist, but it's clear to see that it was De Bruyne who made it with what can only be described as one of the passes of the season so far.

Twitter goes crazy over De Bruyne

As you can imagine, fans were raving about De Bruyne after seeing his magnificent pass and they took to Twitter to talk about his "pre-assist" as well as his overall quality.

Check out some of the best reaction below:

If that wasn't enough, the 26-year-old Belgian assisted two goals in the second half before being substituted off for Ilkay Gundogan in the 66th-minute.

City will hope De Bruyne maintains his current level of performance for their mouth-watering Champions League tie against Napoli on Tuesday night.
