Tony Ferguson has responded to Conor McGregor’s callout. The biggest question that is on fight fans’ minds is who will be the next opponent for the UFC lightweight champion. It could be interim titleholder Ferguson who won the title over Kevin Lee this past Saturday night at UFC 216 or Nate Diaz, who has already fought McGregor twice.Fight fans have not seen him compete in the world-famous Octagon since November of 2016 when he beat Eddie Alvarez to become the new champion at UFC 205. McGregor has proven over and over that he is the biggest star MMA that has ever been seen. His latest bout, which was a boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr. sold over 4 million pay-per-view buys. Although he lost the bout by TKO in the 10th roundIt’s well known by now that McGregor broke his silence on the interim title holder when he tweeted a picture Friday casting himself as Tony Montana from “Scarface” – using the style of the “Grand Theft Auto” video game – with the simple caption: “Tony.”As expected, the Tony we believe McGregor was calling out had a rather quick response in the form of a “Grand Theft Auto” inspired video of sorts. It was creative to say the least. Ferguson wrote the following:“Zero 😎Fucks” 🇺🇸🏆🇲🇽#DefendorVacate MF’er 😎🖕🏽#TonyFergusonMMA SnapJitsu™ #SnapDownCity This Is My Mat.

The UFC lightweight champion laid out all of his options for his next fight on recently in Glasgow to MMA Fighting.

“I’m sitting on a loss in my mind, so I’m just seeing what options are there,” McGregor told Caroline Pearce at An Evening with Conor McGregor at Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo venue.

“An option; there’s an interim belt on the line right now – that’s an option,” McGregor said. Of course, the Nate Diaz trilogy fight is there. Maybe one of these boxing guys…maybe Malignaggi would come over and do an MMA bout…or Floyd, maybe I could entice Floyd back. We could either do a rematch in boxing or like he said originally, we’ll do an MMA fight next. They are the options that are on the table for me right now.”

“I’m happy they’re fighting. This is what I wanted because they’re all bums at the end of the day make no mistake about that. I’m just happy they’re fighting. I just want to see them compete,” declared McGregor.

“Too many of them pull out right at the wire, and we’re still not at this fight yet, so I’m just going to pray that this one goes ahead. Of course, Nate is still there waiting, but he’ll be left waiting until we figure something out.”

He noted: “I’m just going to put a few options out there and see what bounces back. It’s got to excite me, let me see what these two fools do this weekend. We’ll see what the energy is like.”
