Liverpool produced the performance of the night as they hammered Maribor 7-0 in Slovenia. The Reds were 3-0 up inside 19 minutes through goals from Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian adding another minutes before half-time.Jurgen Klopp’s side continued to keep the pressure on their opponents and Firmino made it five shortly after the restart.Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has been mocked for failing to get much action following his summer move from Arsenal, made it 6-0 late on before Trent Alexander-Arnold added a seventh in the 90th minute. If the Reds needed a confidence boost after a run of one win in eight matches, they certainly got it this evening. In a group that also includes Sevilla and Spartak Moscow, Klopp will have identified the two matches against Maribor - Liverpool welcome the Slovenians to Anfield next month - as the one side his team should secure maximum points against. No doubt Liverpool fans will flock to their stadium on November 1 to see if their side can inflict similar levels of damage in the return fixture.

Naby Keita was in action for RB Leipzig

All eyes this evening were on events in Slovenia, in Spain, where Real Madrid hosted Tottenham, and in Manchester, where Pep Guardiola’s City welcomed Napoli to the Etihad.

But there was a full slate of fixtures that also included an exciting matchup between RB Leipzig and Porto in Germany.

Leipzig ran out 3-2 winners, with all of the goals coming in the first half.

Liverpool fans are getting rinsed for sharing video

Liverpool fans have taken to following the Bundesliga club ever since it was announced that midfielder Naby Keita would join next summer.

And there was one moment where they thought the Guinean had produced a moment of magic.

It turned out to be Jean-Kevin Augustin who rinsed two Porto players but hasty Liverpool supporters immediately presumed it was Keita.

Check out the skill - which was simply delightful - and the reaction that followed.

Needless to say, these Liverpool fans were left with egg on their faces when it was pointed out to them that it wasn’t Keita.
