In terms of Premier League striking legends, few rank higher than Chelsea icon Didier Drogba. At the peak of his powers, the Ivorian was the complete package, destroying defences up and down the country with brute power and outstanding skill.Arsenal were often the recipients of his devastating ability, scoring 15 times in 15 appearances against the Gunners. In just 254 league appearances, Drogba managed 104 goals, winning the Golden Boot on two separate occasions.Alongside Gianfranco Zola, the former Marseille man is widely seen as the finest man to ever lead the Chelsea attack. But, thinking of him as just a goal scorer would be foolish, because Drogba had so much more to his game.In fact, one Chelsea fan decided to make a montage of his most underrated asset; playmaking. The footage shows Drogba's abilities as almost a number 10 during the 2009/10 season. If it wasn't for his giant frame, you could almost mistake the Ivorian for a fleet-footed playmaker like Philippe Coutinho or David Silva.

VIDEO: DROGBA THE PLAYMAKER

Even Drogba himself was impressed and decided to quote the post on his official Twitter account.

It's a reminder of just how devastating he was alongside Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda in Carlo Ancelotti's double-winning side.

It wasn't just that season that Drogba showcased his playmaking skills, as he went on to record a very impressive 54 assists throughout his time in the Premier League, placing him 29th in the all-time rankings.

Replacing the Ivorian was never going to be easy, with Fernando Torres spectacularly failing following his £50m move from Liverpool.

Diego Costa done a pretty good job but after his departure, it is down to £58m summer arrival Alvaro Morata.

DROGBA A FAN OF MORATA

And, Drogba is a big fan of the Spaniard.

"He is scoring goals that are winning games so I am really happy for him and for the club as well," Drogba said back in September.

"It is very important to score. As a striker, when you start with a new team, people have high expectations.

"When you match those expectations, you are just happy and the goals continue to come.

"I hope he will have a great season because we need that."

If the former Real Madrid man can do half of what Drogba done at Chelsea, he'll be fondly remembered at Stamford Bridge.
