The Shield has reunited over on Monday Night RAW and WWE fans are loving it.

Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose were once recognized as the most dominant faction in the WWE when they stood united, however, Rollins decided to join The Authority and betrayed his Shield brethren by hitting them in the back with a steel chair on an episode of RAW.

Since their disbandment each member of The Shield has gone on to win a WWE World Heavyweight Title. Reigns is currently being groomed to be the next face of the company, Rollins is one of the biggest fan favorites in the WWE, and Ambrose is still able to put on great matches and get the WWE Universe behind him with his "Lunatic Fringe" gimmick.

A few years later, the WWE has decided to reunite the trio to take on The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro, Braun Strowman, and Kane. The three on five match will take place at this weekend's Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV) in the main event.

Since their reuniting WWE fans have begun to wonder just how long the reunion will last, and the WWE's upcoming schedule may answer that question. The Shield is advertised to appear at a Madison Square Garden event on December 26th:

"WWE returns to The World’s Most Famous Arena with the annual WWE LIVE Holiday Tour!

ROMAN REIGNS, SETH ROLLINS & DEAN AMBROSE HAVE REUNITED AS THE SHIELD!

This means that The Shield could stay united all the way into 2018. The reunion was used to get Roman Reigns more over with fans as he heads into his WrestleMania 34 main event against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title.

What are your thoughts on The Shield's reunion reportedly lasting all the way through to January of next year? Do you think that The Shield will actually last that long? Or will they break up yet again before the end of the year? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
