Doncaster have bolstered their squad with the signing of Jordan Mutch on a month-long loan from Birmingham.

The 18-year-old, who progressed through the youth ranks at St Andrew's, made four appearances during a loan spell with League Two side Hereford back in November.

"Jordan will come in and add an extra number to the squad," said Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll.

"With Simon Gillett going back to Southampton, it looks as if that could flounder, so we need as many good players as we can get and Jordan is a talented 18 year-old.

"We've taken him on a youth loan, which gives flexibility to both clubs and we will see how he develops. He's a talented boy and he looks like he has a big future.

"He did well at Hereford on loan and Birmingham City now want to test him at a higher level. We've got a great reputation with young players and have a good environment for them."
