Conor McGregor is now one of the highest demanded fights in boxing as well as mixed martial arts (MMA).

The former two weight UFC champion comes off of an unsuccessful professional boxing debut this past August when he suffered a 10th round TKO loss to Floyd Maywether. After the fight the conversation of who "The Notorious One" will fight next became a hot topic of discussion, and the possibility of the Irishman taking a boxing fight was looked at as a legitimate possibility.

McGregor did much better than expected against Mayweather, however, "Money" is in his 40s and was not nearly the fighter that he used to be in his prime. If McGregor stepped into the ring against a legitimate, young boxing champion today it would be a much more difficult task.

If he does decide to do so, however, Jeff Horn (WBO welterweight champion) and his management seem to be interested in taking on "Mystic Mac." Horn's manager, Dean Lonergan, recently did an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald to talk about a match with McGregor. Here's what he had to say (quotes via the Irish Mirror):

"We've talked about how Conor McGregor would be a great fight for Jeff Horn. We all know that. He's a promotional genius and he looks like a good, fun guy. Wouldn't that be a cool thing to do?"

"These [critics] are the same people that said we couldn't get Manny Pacquiao here. It turns into one of the great days of Australian sport. If we can get Pacquiao v Horn, why can't we get Conor McGregor?

"We'd give him a chance at the WBO welterweight title. And, to be honest, I think we can make the money stack up. I've got a rough idea of what he got.

"Obviously he's not going to get Floyd Mayweather money, but I tell you what, there wouldn't be too many fights, if any, other than Mayweather that would offer the same money I think we can put up down here.

"I thought the McGregor-Mayweather fight was entertaining. I don't care what anyone says. We probably all knew the result going in, but the build-up was entertaining, the fight was entertaining.

"And let's not forget what business we're in: it's entertainment. The fight people want to see are the ones that entertain."

What are your thoughts on Horn's manager saying he'd like to see his client defend his title against Conor McGregor? Do you think McGregor has a shot at winning a boxing title in his fighting career? Or was his boxing match against Mayweather a one time thing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
