Artur Krysiak is likely to return in goal for Burton's home game against Lincoln.
The on-loan Birmingham goalkeeper was suspended for the win at Torquay on Saturday, so coach Kevin Poole made his full league debut for Albion at the age of 46.
Boss Paul Peschisolido is expected to make other changes. Switching formation back to 4-4-2 could see Jacques Maghoma drop down to the bench after featuring in a five-man midfield at Plainmoor.
The Canadian will wait to see which striker, Greg Pearson or Steve Kabba, is fit enough to partner the in-form Shaun Harrad. Pearson missed out at the weekend with a hamstring problem while Kabba had a dead leg.
"Greg and Steve should both train, so we will see how they shape up before making a decision," said Peschisolido.
Teenage defender Tom Parkes is likely to keep his place in the side after an impressive debut at Torquay following his loan arrival from Leicester.
Lincoln have injury doubts over four players ahead of the clash.
Defenders Nathan Baker and Paul Green and midfielders Chris Herd and Brian Gilmour all sustained knocks during the 2-1 home win over Bradford on Saturday, with the latter two replaced midway through the second half.
All four players are being assessed and City manager Chris Sutton will make a late decision over their inclusion.
Meanwhile, Sutton is prepared to let Jamie Clarke leave the club after the striker handed in a transfer request on Monday.
Clarke has not played since the Imps' 3-1 home defeat by Rochdale in mid-December.
"I don't want to keep players here if they don't want to be here," Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire. "We are still in a fight at the bottom of the table and I want players who want to play for the club. If he doesn't, then he can go on his way."
