Slaven Bilic is in trouble.

Remarkably, just a few years ago, the Croatian was breaking all sorts of records at West Ham.

After his appointment in 2015, his first season was a highly successful one.

Bilic, who also played for West Ham earlier during his playing days, led his side to 7th in the table and to a place in Europe.

That very season, his side smashed several records for the club in the Premier League era, including the highest number of points with 62 and the highest number of goals in a season with 65.

However, those days seem very long ago.

West Ham were not very convincing last season, eventually finishing 11th, but this campaign has started even worse.

The East London outfit have only picked up eight points from their opening nine games; currently occupying 17th position.

As a result, there have been calls for Bilic to lose his job due to poor performance.

And, sensationally, even West Ham players seem to be turning against the Croat, with Angelo Ogbonna liking a Bilic Out comment on Instagram.

According to the Italian he did it by mistake, but his excuse does not sound convincing.

In fact, his excuse is so unbelievable that it's hilarious.

In a desperate attempt to defend himself and atone for his error, the former Juventus defender claimed: "I liked the West Ham post. Not your comment. Because your comment is stupid. My baby was playing with the phone and he touched your comment. So don't be too happy."

There is a chance Ogbonna is telling the truth, but this excuse does sound highly unlikely.

The defender has struggled for game time this season, having only featured six times for the club.

With Bilic's position seemingly under severe threat, maybe Ogbonna does want him out due to a lack of playing time?
