The Ligue 1 weekend ended with the biggest match in French football as Marseille welcomed leaders Paris Saint-Germain to the Orange Veledrome.

This clash, known by natives as "Le Classique", is considered to be the greatest rivalry in France and the country's equivalent to El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

PSG went into Sunday's game still unbeaten in the league, having recorded eight wins and one draw from their nine matches so far this season.

Thiago Silva returned to captain Unai Emery's men, and the the devastating trio of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar all started alongside each other in attack.

Neymar would have been desperate to make an impact in his first 'French Clasico', and there was something he did before the match that was simply out of this world.

Neymar's unbelievable skill during warm-up

As is often the case, Neymar and his Paris teammates were out on the pitch around half an hour or so before kick-off to go through their warm-up drills.

The atmosphere inside the Veledrome, which is known to be a pretty hostile stadium, was already building, but the piece of skill Neymar pulled off was sure to have silenced a few spectators.

The 25-year-old superstar booted a ball high above his head. So high, in fact, that the French television cameras had to zoom out whilst he was on the move.

Neymar watched the ball closely and, as you can see in the videos below, he produced an absolutely unbelievable first touch to control the ball dead.

The world's most expensive player perfectly flicked the ball with his right foot, which was behind his left, before continuing on with his dribble.

Marseille vs. Paris

Things didn't start too well for Paris at Marseille, with Luiz Gustavo's long-range screamer putting the hosts ahead in the 16th-minute.

However, Neymar equalised for PSG 17 minutes later with a low left-footed strike to register his tenth goal since swapping Barcelona for France.

Florian Thauvin's goal made it 2-1 to Marseille, before Neymar was sent off three minutes from time and Cavani snatched a dramatic equaliser for PSG.

What do YOU make of this amazing piece of skill from Neymar? Can he really become the world's best player at Paris? Have YOUR say in the comments box below!
