Will we ever see Amir Khan back inside the ring? The 30-year-old continues to talk the talk but it’s been a long time now since he actually walked the walk.Khan hasn’t fought since losing to Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas back in May 2016. The Bolton-born fighter found himself on the receiving end of a devastating sixth-round knockout and hasn’t entered the ring since. It was hoped at the beginning of the year that Khan’s next fight would be against his fellow Brit, Kell Brook. However, the bout failed to materialise following various disagreements between the two fighters and their camps.Khan accused Brook of refusing the right at a 70-30 split while Eddie Hearn insisted the fight wasn’t going ahead because Khan wanted a warm-up fight.Hearn also revealed Khan had rejected an even split fight deal. The two boxers then went head-to-head on Twitter and, quite frankly, it was all a bit embarrassing.

Khan is still interested in Brook fight

However, 10 months after their social media spat, there was renewed hope that the fight could happen in the near future.

But first, Khan wants both himself and Brook to get a couple of wins under their belt to ensure the public are interested enough to buy tickets and pay-per-view passes.

"For me and Kell Brook at the moment, I think the fight could be bigger if we both get a couple of wins," Khan told Sky Sports. "If we get a couple of wins, I think it will be a massive fight. It will be a big fight now, but it will be a massive fight if we wait maybe another fight.

"One hundred per cent, I would love that fight."

Khan hasn't given up on his Mayweather dream

However, it seems Khan still hasn’t given up his dream of going head-to-head against Floyd Mayweather following the American’s victory over Conor McGregor.

Here’s what he tweeted on Monday evening…

Oh, Amir.

Kell Brook has now tweeted Khan

The Brit was ridiculed by boxing fans for his tweet - and then, to add insult to injury, Brook sent him a message.

“@amirkingkhan if you wanna play kiss-chase with retired men shame, really,” the 31-year-old said. “get in with me n I’ll fast track ya into collecting your pension 👀“

Here’s how Twitter has reacted to Brook’s cheeky tweet…
