Bristol Rovers will hand a late fitness test to Aaron Lescott ahead of their home clash with Wycombe.

The full-back injured his knee in training this week and boss Paul Trollope will make a late check on his fitness before naming his side.

The Pirates will also be able to call on Mikkel Andersen after the on-loan goalkeeper signed a short-term deal to ensure he was eligible for the game against the Chairboys.

Andersen has been at the Memorial Stadium since September but his previous deal expired this week. However, Rovers retained his services for the Wycombe game by securing an emergency loan deal and he is expected to sign for the rest of the season on Monday.

Midfielder Dominic Blizzard should return to the squad after recovering from a hip problem.

Wycombe forward Jon-Paul Pittman will miss out.

Pittman sat out the 1-1 draw at Southend last weekend after injuring his groin in training and manager Gary Waddock has refused to risk him this week.

He said: "I don't want him to train and play and then break down and be out for three or four weeks."

Waddock is boosted by the availability of striker Alex Revell who could come in for his debut after finalising a complicated loan move from Southend.

Centre-back Leon Johnson is back in training after a hip operation but will not be considered for at least another few weeks and Waddock is without several midfielders.

Matt Bloomfield, Ian Westlake, Lewwis Spence and Lewis Montrose are all out with knee injuries as Wanderers look for a much-needed win.
