On-loan defender Gavin Gunning will be fit for Rotherham's home clash with Macclesfield..

Gunning was replaced by Dale Tonge at half-time after sustaining a knock in the 1-0 victory at Chesterfield on Tuesday night - but the Blackburn youngster will be available.

Boss Ronnie Moore must decide whether to start with the Rovers loanee or restore Tonge, who recently recovered from an ankle injury, to the starting line-up.

Fellow defender Nick Fenton will be hoping for a recall, with Moore having the option of moving Pablo Mills back into the centre of midfield.

Tom Pope will partner Adam Le Fondre in attack after scoring a last-gasp winner at Chesterfield, his first goal since August.

Paul Warne (foot) and Andy Liddell (Achilles) remain on the sidelines.

Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander has no major concerns.

Alexander will again be without midfield duo Ross Draper and Hamza Bencherif, who remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

Draper is nursing a hernia problem and Bencherif suffered a fractured ankle in the 3-0 defeat at Rochdale on December 5.

But Colin Daniel and Ricky Sappleton both shrugged off calf strains to play in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at home to Morecambe and came through the match unscathed.

The duo's continued availability leaves Draper and Bencherif as Alexander's only two major absentees as the Silkmen bid to spring a shock result against the high-flying Millers.

Alexander said: "We are a young side and learning all the time."
