However, Brewster wasn’t the only player hailed for his role in England’s victory.

There was a huge reaction on social media to the performance of Phil Foden, Manchester City’s hugely talented attacking midfielder.

The 17-year-old dictated the tempo of the match, produced several wonderful passes and dribbles, and appears to possess all the tools required to become a genuine star.

Foden’s best moment of the match came in the 75th minute when he took several Brazilians out the game in the build-up to Brewster’s hat-trick goal.

Foden also starred against Man Utd in the summer

This isn’t the first time Foden has sent social media crazy this year.

Back in the summer, the teenager produced a hugely impressive performance against Manchester United in a pre-season friendly.

Pep Guardiola said of Foden’s performance after the match: “I don’t have words – I would like to have the right words to describe what I saw.

“You are the lucky guys who saw the first game, for the first team for Manchester City, of this guy.

“It’s a long time since I saw something like this. His performance was another level. He’s 17-years-old, he’s a City player, he grew up in the academy, he loves the club, he’s a City fan and for us he’s a gift.

“He will stay with us training with us in the pre-season and maybe he’ll stay with us this season because he’s special.”

The lad has clearly got a huge future ahead of him.
