Substitute Gareth Evans struck twice as Bradford staged a dramatic late comeback to earn a 2-1 victory at Torquay.
Chris Robertson fired the Gulls ahead in the 15th minute, but Evans restored parity with seven minutes remaining before hammering home a stoppage-time winner.
Torquay started brightly and visiting goalkeeper Matt Glennon had to make a fine save in the ninth minute to deny Danny Stevens.
Robertson then fired home the opener through a crowded goalmouth after Bradford had failed to clear a Stevens corner.
Stevens and Scott Rendell went close to adding a second for the hosts, while Chris Brandon and Simon Ramsden saw chances go begging at the other end.
Torquay centre-half Kieran Charnock then saw a diving header hooked off the line in the 65th minute before Ramsden made a brilliant clearance to keep out Stevens' measured shot from 12 yards.
Bradford's Omar Daley was then denied by Michael Poke's point-blank save but Evans levelled the scores from the resulting corner.
And there was still time for the striker to thunder home a winner in stoppage-time after Ramsden's deep free-kick had been knocked down by Zesh Rehman.
