Poor old Michael Owen.Football fans are slowly forgetting about his illustrious football career due to his rather dull punditry.Young supporters grow up knowing Michael Owen as the boring pundit rather than Michael Owen the former Ballon d’Or winner. While Owen’s comments on football are sometimes rather uninspiring, an advert he did 19 years ago is just incredible - and not in a good way.If you haven’t seen it before, you’re in for a treat.Basically, Owen is pretending to fly a helicopter over Dubai and pointing out all the famous landmarks. We’re not quite sure why Dubai chose Owen to promote their country but its fair to say their decision backfired. After watching this advert, you’ll probably be put off ever visiting the place.

Watch: Owen tries to promote Dubai

Just take a look:

While the advert is very old, it seems Jamie Carragher has only just discovered it.

Jamie Carragher's tweet

That’s because he tweeted ‘Best. Worst. Advert. I’ve. Ever. Seen.’

Twitter reacts

And it seems plenty of people agree with him. Check out some of the reaction after the video was recently reposted on Twitter.

But Owen clearly wasn’t impressed with his former teammate.

He tweeted back - at 4:23am - ‘It was 19 years ago.’

Not. Having. Any. Of. It.

But we thank Carragher for his reaction because, without it, we wouldn’t have been able to share this glorious video with you.

Carragher is unlikely to be taking up Owen’s tempting offer of visiting Duabi, though.

Carragher doesn't like travelling...apparently

Owen himself claimed that Carragher would only take a managerial role in Liverpool because he doesn’t like travelling.

"I get the sense that he (Carragher) wouldn't take a job if it meant him leaving Liverpool," Owen said.

"Everything about this place, his kids, his wife, his family, his friends, he's so ingrained in this city. I don't think he'd travel well.

"If he got a job that was local then I could see him being a manager."
