Last weekend Anthony Joshua defended his title once more with a controversial 10th round defeat over Carlos Takam.

A host of famous faces were in attendance and in punditry, however, one man was surprisingly missing.

In the build-up to this fight, Sky had invited David Haye to provide his words of wisdom on the punditry box - but, he declined.

Tony Bellew, who the Hayemaker will face in a rematch of their epic clash from April on December 17, was in attendance.

And according to Bellew, the reason why Haye wasn't present was because of him.

“David Haye should have worked on Saturday on the Anthony Joshua fight, but he wouldn’t be there because I was there,” Bellew told talkSPORT, as per The Express.

“He can’t even look me in the face.

“He should have worked on Saturday on the Anthony Joshua fight, but he wouldn’t be there because I was there.

"He doesn’t believe I’m even on the same level as him.

“I haven't really got any hatred towards David Haye, I just think he’s a plant pot.

“I’m looking forward to punching him in the face,” concluded Bellew, in comical outburst.

With training underway, tickets being issued and the fight rapidly approaching, the ball is now in Haye’s court to up the ante.

Now the Joshua fight is out of the way, this upcoming clash will certainly be the ‘talk of the town’ as these fighters get ready to put on a show in London.
