Leeds missed out on the chance to go back to the top of Coca-Cola League One as they were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Hartlepool.
Luciano Becchio gave Leeds a 1-0 lead at the break but Adam Boyd fired Pools level after 70 minutes.
Becchio then put United back in front, only for Anthony Sweeney to head home in the final minute.
League leaders Norwich were beaten 2-1 at Millwall.
Chris Martin's free-kick had put the Canaries ahead after four minutes but Tony Craig and Neil Harris made sure of the points for the Lions.
Promotion chasing Swindon and Charlton played out an evenly-matched draw. Kevin Amankwaah had put Swindon ahead but an injury-time strike from Nicky Bailey earned the Addicks a point.
Huddersfield and Carlisle also played out a 1-1 draw with Anthony Pilkington getting the opener for Town and Ben Marshall replying for the Cumbrians.
