Steven Gerrard was in the BT Sport studio as Liverpool picked up their third win in a week with a convincing 4-1 victory over West Ham.

The victory saw Liverpool keep their sixth place in the table and draw level on points with Chelsea and Arsenal.

Things are suddenly looking better at Anfield than they were two weeks ago after they were thumped 4-1 by Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

The same can’t quite be said about the other side of Merseyside, though.

Liverpool’s city-rivals are 19th and have already been knocked out of the Europa League.

It’s been a pretty terrible campaign for Everton, in truth.

It’s been so bad that they have already sacked Ronald Koeman, while David Unsworth’s audition as a caretaker boss isn't going too well.

And during Premier League Tonight, Jake Humphrey put two-and-two together and asked Gerrard if you would rescue his former rivals.

Gerrard is currently learning the ropes in management having taking over Liverpool’s Under-18’s.

But if he was offered a fast track to a Premier League in the form of Everton, would he take it?

Watch: Gerrard's response when asked about Everton

Check out his response:

Gerrard’s answer of “no” almost came out before Humphrey had finished asking the question.

Brilliant.

We take it Gerrard really wouldn’t consider the job at the Toffees.

And who can blame him, really?

They’re currently embroiled in a relegation battle and managing Everton really wouldn’t go down well at Liverpool.

We all know he’s hoping to land the big job at Anfield one day and moving to Everton right now would do him no favours in his following his dream.
