The Bengals traveled down to Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars today and the men in orange and white would have gone into the game expecting to face a tough opponent who would make things difficult. What the Bengals wouldn't have been counting on, however, is that one of their own star players would also make it hard for them. And that's exactly what happened when AJ Green exploded in a fit of anger during the 2nd quarter. After being stifled by the Jaguars' number one cornerback Jalen Ramsey for much of the game, being held to just six receiving yards, Green had enough and just unleashed. Scroll down to see video of the action. After a run of the mill two-yard run from Bengals running back Joe Mixon, Ramsey - one of the best trash talkers and irritators in the entire league - gave Green a shove at the end of the play. Green blew up and took Ramsey down to the ground, sinking in what looked like an attempt at a rear-naked choke as well as slinging some punches at the Jaguars man for good measure. Video after the jump. Here is a replay of the incident, which shows Green going for the choke and throwing haymakers at the cornerback.

Was the push from Ramsey completely unnecessary and uncalled for? Yes.

Was it worthy of being choked out and throw to the floor over? Absolutely not.

Is AJ Green about to get a letter from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and a subsequent suspension? Undoubtedly. And that is deserved.

The Bengals went on to lose 23-7 without their star playmaker at EverBank Field. They are now 3-5 with their Playoff hopes circling the drain. Well done, AJ. Well done.
