Right now, there is no escaping the name Kevin de Bruyne.

Thankfully, it is for all the right reasons, with the Belgian midfielder establishing himself as arguably the finest midfielder in the world at the moment.

In Premier League terms, he's head and shoulder above everyone, but after his virtuoso display vs Arsenal, he has to be up there with the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

De Bruyne and the entirety of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side have been electrifying, winning 10 of their first 11 league games, scoring 38 goals in the process.

KDB ON FIRE

The Belgian maestro has helped himself to two goals and has provided six assists for his teammates, with most of those being passes that have defied the laws of physics.

Who'd have thought the temperamental boy from Chelsea would be this good? Only a select few.

In fact, his City career didn't get off to the fastest of starts and it is only really in 2017 that he has shown just what a talent he is.

Back in his earlier days with the Citizens, De Bruyne was even prone to the odd error - if you can believe it - and he produced a truly hilarious one against Arsenal back in late 2015.

The Belgian went to take a routine corner kick and just before making contact with the ball, he accidentally kicked the pole and stumbled over.

VIDEO: DE BRUYNE IS HUMAN

If that isn't enough, here's a video of the incident in super-slow motion, you know, for that added drama.

SLOW-MO VIDEO

It was a game that Arsenal actually went on to win 2-1, something that never looked like it was going to happen even before the teams stepped out onto the Etihad pitch on Sunday afternoon.

In the two years that have gone by, De Bruyne and City have well and truly evolved into a monster that looks like it may not be stopped.

There are talks of Guardiola's side perhaps going the entire Premier League season unbeaten and at the moment, that looks like a half-decent bet.

Although, the hectic Christmas schedule could have a big part to play. As would any potential injury to De Bruyne.
