It was yet another dark day for Arsenal in 2017/18 on Sunday afternoon. The Gunners - who were held by Red Star Belgrade in a 0-0 bore draw in the Europa League three days before - arrived at the Etihad with little backing from anyone and they were duly put to the sword by the Premier League leaders.Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus downed the north London outfit, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring little more than a consolation. Before the game, contract rebels Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were the centre of much attention, with many wondering if the two supposed 'superstars' would turn up in a big away game. They didn't. The Chilean gave the ball away at will, which had many Arsenal fans wondering if he was doing it on purpose, while the German playmaker barely did anything, strolling across the pitch without almost a care in the world. After the game, Ozil did look noticeably annoyed at the performance, while Sanchez simply went over to former teammate Mikel Arteta for a hug. But, it was what City's 'Tunnel Cam' caught that has really angered Arsenal fans, with the two players caught as the first off the pitch following the defeat.

The reaction from Arsenal fans was certainly not a positive one and they certainly made their feelings known towards the two under-performing contract rebels.

ARSENAL TWITTER REACTS

Not happy, are they? To be fair, they have every right to be seething.

The whole ordeal is eerily reminiscent of Ozil's actions at the Etihad back in 2013, when Per Mertesacker shouted at his German compatriot for not applauding the away fans after they had suffered a 6-3 loss.

Well, this is likely the last time Ozil will be wearing an Arsenal shirt at the Etihad, so at least there won't be another clip to add to the collection.

The job for the Gunners does not get any easier after the international break has passed, with Wenger's side having to welcome high-flying Tottenham to the Emirates.

Their bitter rivals look a far better outfit right now and a defeat will further harm their top-four ambitions.
