The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered their seventh loss of the season after only 12 games played when they played against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night at the Toyota Center.

The Cavaliers have not managed to achieve back to back wins since the start of the season, and that trend continued last night, as the Rockets defeated them 117-113, with James Harden achieving a triple-double of 35 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists.

LeBron James had a good game, as he managed to score over 30 points himself with a stat line of 33 points four rebounds, and seven assists, but ultimately, the team's record is the one that matters the most, and at the moment, it's not where many fans would expect it to be.

Cleveland looks like a completely different team from the one that was the Eastern Conference representative in the NBA Finals last season against the Golden State Warriors. Granted, they're not at full strength, with several players injured at the moment, so maybe their season will turn around later in the year once those players sidelined become available again.

One of the big names who the Cavs are waiting to come back is Isaiah Thomas, but James doesn't think the debut of the point guard for the team is going to fix everything when he is able to return from his right hip injury.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, James said prior to his team's Thursday night loss to the Rockets: "To be honest, I don't think it's too much expected [of Thomas]. I don't think we're relying on IT to come back. We want him to take his time. When he feels he's ready, he's going to fit right in.

"We can't rely on just one person. We can't rely on just one person for us to be as good as we want to be, whether it's IT or myself or Tristan [Thompson] being out. We have guys who have to step up."

The two-time All-Star point guard isn't expected to be back on the court until January, but there has been some news that suggests he could come back sooner than that, and the Cavaliers' hand could be forced to make that happen especially if they continue to lose key games.

"IT is definitely a big piece of what we want to do, but IT hasn't stepped out on the floor in a Cavs uniform yet. We know what he's capable of doing, but he hasn't played with us, so we don't want to put that type of pressure on him, even though he loves it."

The Cavaliers will look to get back to winning ways when they play against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.
