Leicester`s leading scorer Matty Fryatt will begin a lengthy absence when Scunthorpe visit the Walkers Stadium.
The 12-goal striker will miss much of the remainder of the season after suffering a broken jaw during the first half of the goalless draw against Doncaster on Tuesday night.
Boss Nigel Pearson will hope Yann Kermorgant can recover from the hamstring strain that has seen him miss the last two matches. If he is included it is expected he will only be on the bench.
Martyn Waghorn has been playing with a knee niggle recently and he is likely to do so again, with either Dany N`Guessan or Steve Howard partnering the on-loan Sunderland striker in attack.
Midfielders Lloyd Dyer and Nolberto Solano are pushing to be included in the staring XI.
Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has several selection concerns.
On-loan defender Brendan Moloney has returned to parent club Nottingham Forest for treatment after suffering a medial ligament injury in the midweek defeat at West Brom and he may not return as the prognosis is not good.
Cliff Byrne is likely to be suspended as he was sent off at the Hawthorns, though the Iron are appealing the decision and have yet to hear the outcome. If the appeal is not accepted then the right-back will serve a two-match ban.
Marcus Williams returns from a ban of his own, though, following his red card at the weekend and he should go straight back into the Adkins' starting XI at left-back.
Forward Garry Thompson is still nursing a hamstring injury and will not be available as he faces another two weeks on the sidelines.
The Iron have lost their last two games and that has seen them drop right back into the relegation mix, sitting just a point and one place above the drop zone ahead of the Walkers Stadium clash.
