WWE now has a new main event for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV.

With AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to win the WWE Championship on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Manchester, England at the Manchester Arena on the USA Network, he is now scheduled to main event the show.

Styles is slated to take on Brock Lesnar in the main event of the show. The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.

The WWE Champion sent WWE Universal Champion a message while at Friday’s WWE live event in Milan, Italy. Here is what Styles stated in an Instagram post that was shared on WWE’s account:

"Now I am the WWE Champion once again, and now I have the opportunity at Survivor Series to face Brock Lesnar," Styles said. "I know what you're thinking, 'AJ, you can't beat him! He's a beast! He's a giant!'

Well, you know there was this one guy, who had a slingshot and a stone. And I have a ring that I'm going to slingshot myself into victory, when I take it to Brock Lesnar! And that's how the story will end."

WWE sent out the following to hype Lesnar’s appearance on this Monday’s episode of Raw alongside Paul Heyman, which will serve to build the upcoming clash between these two superstars:

“Jinder Mahal might have been the one to throw down the gauntlet for a Champion vs. Champion Match against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, but it will be new WWE Champion AJ Styles who stands in the path of The Beast Incarnate next Sunday night in Houston.

Following The Phenomenal One’s defeat of The Modern Day Maharaja on SmackDown LIVE in Manchester, U.K., Lesnar and his associate Paul Heyman now look to invite an entirely different potential resident to Suplex City at WWE’s fall classic.

Most “don’t want none” from Styles, but The Phenomenal One has never faced anyone like The Conqueror. Styles had best be watching with the rest of us when Lesnar and Heyman make their red brand return.”
