Iwelumo makes City switch

Published Add your comment

Bristol City have signed Chris Iwelumo on a month-long emergency loan deal from Wolves.

The Scotland international, 31, has seen his chances limited in the Premier League after sustaining a metatarsal injury during pre-season.

Iwelumo has made just three starts and seven substitute appearances for Mick McCarthy's men this term.

City boss Gary Johnson told his club's official website: "We're delighted to be able to bring Chris in.

"He will add vital experience to our strike-force and he'll provide a presence up top as well.

"We've managed to bring him here for a month initially and we'll take it from there."
